K. DZHAAKUPOV: G-GLOBAL IS AN IMPORTANT AREA FOR ISSUES SETTLEMENT FOR GLOBAL AGENDA

Astana, March 30, the House of Mazhilis. The Chairman of the Mazhilis Kabibulla Dzhakupov spoke at the 132nd Assembly of the Inter-parliamentary Union (IPU) in Hanoi (Vietnam) within the frames of the general debates on “Purposes for stable development: from words to actions”.

As noted by the Speaker of the Mazhilis, the relevance of the main theme of the Assembly is obvious in light of the new geopolitical and economic challenges.

K.Dzhakupov told about Kazakhstan’s contribution to the implementation of tasks aimed at ensuring the sustainable development of the world community.

In particular, it was a question about the Partnership Program “Green Bridge” initiated by the President of Kazakhstan, supported at the conference “Rio + 20” by all UN members- states, the Concept of transition to the “green economy” as well as the international exhibition in Astana “EXPO-2017”.

According to the Speaker of the Mazhilis all the international community should be involved into the sustainable development Objectives implementation - a global agenda after the year of 2015.

- We are ready to use the international communication platform G-Global at Astana Economic Forum. It was created on the initiative of President Nursultan Nazarbayev to bring together the world minds to discuss global issues for the world development and the elaboration of constructive proposals to their settlement. To achieve the Objectives for sustainable development, we need a broader global dialogue format, rather than the existing G-7 or G-20. And, namely, the communication platform G-global can become a generator of solutions to pressing issues on the global agenda - said K.Dzhakupov.

According to the Chairman of the Mazhilis the breakthrough was the last year adoption of the concept of the World Anti-Crisis Plan for UN members-states within the framework of Astana Economic Forum.
