THE DELEGATION OF THE PARLIAMENT PLACED FLOWERS TO THE STATUE OF DJAMBUL IN ST.PETERSBURG.

 Astana, April 18, the House of the Mazhilis. The deputies of the Parliament of Kazakhstan observed the memory of heroes of the Great Patriotic War by taking part in the ceremonial actions of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS in St. Petersburg. 

The Kazakhstani delegation headed by the Chairman of the Senate and the Mazhilis Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev and Kabibulla Dzhakupov placed the flowers to the statue of Djambul. It is set in the city on Neva River in memory of the great Kazakh poet who glorified the heroic deed of people of sieged Leningrad.

The known lines of the Kazakh akyn “Leningrad people, children of mine! Leningrad people, proud of mine!” were heard from the tribune of the Duma hall of Tauride Palace where the ceremonial plenary meeting of Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS was held devoted to the anniversary date.
