KAZAKHSTAN-CHINA “NURLY ZHOL” – “ONE BELT, ONE WAY”

Astana, May 22, the House of the Mazhilis. The Speaker of the Mazhilis Kabibulla Dzhakupov received Deputy Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Wang Chzhenvey.

K.Dzhakupov and Van Chzhenvey noted the ongoing development of bilateral cooperation, the main role in which, according to the interlocutors, are played by friendly relations between the heads of Kazakhstan and China.

 The speaker of the Mazhilis and Vice-Chairman of the CPPCC pointed out that the program of the President of Kazakhstan “Nurly Zhol” and the initiative of the President of the PRC “One belt, one way” reflect the common vision for long-term cooperation.

Van Chzhenvey also noted our country supported the initiative of the PRC Chairman on establishment of the Economic Belt of the Silk Road.

Kabibulla Dzhakupov told the five institutional reforms of the President of Kazakhstan, the Plan of the nation “100 concrete steps”, as well as the preparation of the legal framework for their implementation.

The interlocutors touched upon the issues and cooperation between the two countries in the field of trans boundary water resources. Kabibulla Dzhakupov expressed confidence that the forthcoming intergovernmental Agreement on water sharing will work in the interests of the two states.

According to the Speaker of the Mazhilis, Kazakhstan is interested in contacts establishment between the ANC and the State Committee of China on Nationalities.

Vice-Chairman of the CPPCC expressed China’s willingness to continuously strengthen the cooperation.
