K.DZHAKUPOV: CONNECTION OF EAEC AND ECONOMIC BELT OF THE SILK ROAD IS THE FACTOR OF GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE 21^ST CENTURY

Astana, October 6, the House of the Mazhilis. The international forum “Eurasian Economic Perspective” started its work in Astana, organized on the initiative of the Mazhilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan and the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia. When opening the forum, the Chairman of the Mazhilis Kabibulla Dzhakupov focused on the initiatives put forward by President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev at the 70^th UN General Assembly session.

- The Head of State offered relevant and interesting for many countries integration projects that rise international cooperation to a new level. He warned about the danger of erosion of the international law and weakening of global institutions role. In fact, the Head of State proposed to extend his fundamental credo of the economics priority over politics upon the international economic cooperation and called to make it as a global comprehensive framework for international relations, - said K.Dzhakupov.

According to the Chairman of the Mazhilis, President of Kazakhstan consistently implements these principles in the EAEC’s work.

- Today, in this forum, discussing the issues of the prospects of the Eurasian economic integration, we must mostly come from the principles and objectives of the Union, laid by prominent politicians of our time, - said K.Dzhakupov.

The Speaker of the Mazhilis expressed the confidence that the EAEC in series turns into a massive project that has the potential to become an integral part of a new global economic architecture.

At that Kabibulla Dzhakupov focused on issues of connection of the EAEC and the initiatives of China “Economic belt of the Silk Road”.

According to the Chairman of the Mazhilis, the revival of the economy of the Silk Road region is a plan for co-development of Eurasia.

- It is predicted that the participation in the project more than 60 countries of the Eurasian continent will cover more than four billion people, to strengthen the economy of dozens of countries, to make a balanced and mutually beneficial economic cooperation in a large part of the globe. In fact, this is a new ideology of economic recovery for everyone who is within the area of ​​the Silk Road, - said K.Dzhakupov.

The Forum was attended by Chairman of the State Duma Sergei Naryshkin (Russian Federation), Chairman of the Madjlisi Namoyandagon Madjilisi Oli Sh.Zukhurov (Tajikistan), as well as the representatives of parliaments from Belarus, China, Kyrgyzstan, the rectors of leading universities, experts in politics and the heads of the regions of Kazakhstan and Russia.
