THE SPEAKER OF THE MAZHILIS RECEIVED THE AMBASSADOR OF GEORGIA

Astana, October 14, the House of the Mazhilis. The Chairman of the Mazhilis Kabibulla Dzhakupov received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Georgia to Kazakhstan Zurab Pataradze.

During the meeting the sides discussed topical issues of the Kazakh-Georgian cooperation in trade-and-economy, transport-and-logistics, fuel-and-energy, cultural-and-humanitarian spheres.

As noted by Zurab Pataradze, Kazakhstan is one of the biggest investors in Georgia. About 100 Kazakh companies are registered in the country. According to the Georgian diplomat, cooperation in the tourism industry is actively developing.

Speaking about the prospects of interaction K.Dzhakupov and Z.Pataradze stressed the importance of implementation of the five People’s reforms by the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

This, in particular, is a question of the participation of Kazakhstan and Georgia in the project “Eurasian transcontinental corridor”, which will allow free transit of goods from Asia to Europe.

K.Dzhakupov and Z.Pataradze paid special attention to the quations on bilateral inter-parliamentary cooperation strengthening. The two sides called for the intensification of relations between the specialized committees and the friendship groups operating in the parliaments of both countries.
