Astana, September 9, the House of Mazhilis. Today, Mazhilis held the plenary session of the Chamber with participation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Leader of the Nation Nursultan Nazarbayev.

                Chairman of the Mazhilis Nurlan Nigmatulin led the meeting.

                The issue on the agenda was proposed by the Bureau of the Mazhilis – on providing consent to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to assign the Prime Minister of the country.

                The Head of the State presented his speech at the plenary session of the Chamber and in accordance with the article 44 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan introduced the candidacy of Bakytzhan Sagintayev for the position of the Prime Minister to the Mazhilis for consideration.              

                After the speech of the Leader of the Nation, in which Nursultan Nazarbayev defined priority areas of the country development, deputies of the Mazhilis, Nurtai Sabilyanov, deputy head of “Nur Otan” fraction, Vladislav Kossarev, head of “Narodnyye kommunisty” CPPC fraction, Azat Perushayev, head of “Ak zhol” DPK and Tatyana Yakovleva, deputy of the Mazhilis, addressed the meeting of the Chamber.

                Then in accordance with article 56 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Mazhilis unanimously approved the Decree on giving consent to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to assign Bakytzhan Sagintayev as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

                The Prime Minister, who spoke from the parliamentary rostrum, thanked the Head of the State and the deputy corps for their high confidence and expressed his wishes on the further joint work.
