Astana, 20 February, House of Mazhilis. Today in the Mazhilis the Chairman of the Chamber Nurlan Nigmatulin has received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Kazakhstan Philippe Martine.   

         The interlocutors discussed the issues of expanding partnership in all spheres of bilateral interaction, including between parliamentarians.              

         Noting that this year is celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the Strategic Partnership Treaty between Kazakhstan and France, N.Nigmatulin stressed the trustful political dialogue and all-round cooperation built over the years between  two countries.

                The speaker of the Mazhilis expressed hope that the potential of the Agreement on Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union, the bill on ratification of which has already been approved in both chambers of the French Parliament, will be used in the interests of the countries.

                As Philippe Martine noted in his turn, Kazakhstan is an important partner of France not only in politics but also in the economy.

         Among the promising areas for further cooperation, the interlocutors called the agrarian sector, education, tourism, interregional cooperation.

                 Nurlan Nigmatulin and Philippe Martine stated the importance of further intensifying the inter-parliamentary dialogue. According to the Speaker of the Mazhilis, as part of the main objectives implementation of the Address of the President of Kazakhstan, the experience of France in legislative support of the introduction of innovative technologies, digitalization is of practical interest for Kazakhstani parliamentarians.
