Astana, September 15, House of the Mazhilis. The Bureau of the Mazhilis, chaired by the Speaker of the Chamber Erlan Koshanov, determined the draft agenda for the upcoming plenary meeting.

A bill on the ratification of the Agreement on the establishment of the Turkic Investment Fund, which will become the first and main joint financial institution created by the Turkic states, is being submitted for discussion by deputies. Its priorities will be promoting entrepreneurship, including financing for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as growth and job creation.

At the plenary meeting, the Majilismen will also consider the Kazakh-Chinese intergovernmental Agreement on the exchange of information regarding citizens of the two states. Ratification of the Agreement will create a legal basis for cooperation between competent authorities in the field of migration and combating dual citizenship.

In the second reading, deputies are invited to consider legislative amendments on the issues of payments to children from the National Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The corresponding bill was developed by deputies of Parliament in order to launch the project of the Head of State “National Fund for Children” from January 1, 2024. It involves the deduction of 50% of the annual investment income of the National Fund to special savings accounts of children until they reach 18 years of age without the right of early withdrawal. In the future, they can be used to purchase housing and obtain education.

At the meeting of the Bureau, the issue of including new members in the Public Chamber under the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the VIII convocation was also considered.
