Astana, November 10, House of the Mazhilis. Bureau of the Mazhilis chaired by the Speaker of the Chamber Erlan Koshanov formed the draft agenda for the upcoming plenary meeting.
Legislative amendments on issues of service in the reserve are being introduced for discussion by deputies in the first reading. The bill introduces a new type of military service - service in the reserve, which is a voluntary type of service under a contract based on the principle of territoriality (at the place of residence). The amendments are aimed at creating reserve forces ready for combat operations.
Deputies will also have to consider a bill to ratify the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on a communications procedure. The Protocol establishes mechanisms for considering individual complaints in cases of violation of the rights of the child enshrined in the Convention, which will ensure citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan the right to international protection of their interests.
In the second reading, Mazhilismen will discuss a bill on issues of ensuring national security and service in special government bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The draft agenda also includes new bills received by the Mazhilis. These are amendments on the preservation and reproduction of the Kazakh breed of sports horses and the Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights.
