Astana, September 21, House of the Mazhilis. At a meeting of the Bureau chaired by Speaker of the Mazhilis Erlan Koshanov, a draft agenda for the upcoming plenary meeting of deputies was formed.

The Chamber is invited to discuss legislative amendments on information security issues in the first reading. The corresponding bill was developed by deputies of the Mazhilis and is aimed at introducing state control over compliance with legislation on personal data and their protection. The document provides for the definition of the concept of “violation of the security of personal data”, establishing a ban on the collection and processing of paper copies of identity documents, except for cases expressly provided for by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The bill will amend 12 legislative acts.

Bills on the ratification of international treaties with the Republic of Cyprus on extradition and on legal assistance in criminal matters are also being submitted for discussion by deputies.

The Bureau considered the issue of holding parliamentary hearings on the issue of reducing the debt burden of the population and increasing financial literacy.
