UNZHAKOVA Irina Sergeevna
Member of the Committee on Legislation and Judicial and Legal Reform of Mazhilis of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Member of the Committee on legislation and judicial and legal reform of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan. She was born in 1964 in Ust-Kut, Irkutsk Region, Russian Federation. In 1983 she graduated from the Ust-Kamenogorsk Construction Technical School, in 1988 – Civil and Highway Engineering Institute in Ust-Kamenogorsk, in 2011 - the East Kazakhstan Regional University.

She began her career in 1983 as a plasterer-painter at the Belogorsk mining and processing plant.

After graduation, she worked as a secretary of the Komsomol committee, who was the head of the technological department of the Ust-Kamenogorsk Construction Technical School.

1992-1997 – specialist, head specialist of the Committee on Youth Affairs; specialist of the Department of Youth Affairs, tourism, physical education and sports of the Akim's office of Ust-Kamenogorsk.

1995-1997 – TV news journalist, TV presenter, editor of television programs such as "Inform-cocktail", "Vitrina" and "Lady-Leader" in Ust-Kamenogorsk.

1997-1998 – Director of the City Youth Fund.

1998-1999 – Press Service Consultant of the Akim's office of Ust-Kamenogorsk.

1999-2016 – President, Chairman of the Board of the Public Association “Federation of women “Status”.

The organization has implemented 87 socially significant projects aimed at improving the status and quality of life of families, women and children for 17 years of work. In the process of work, she underwent training and internship in Israel, Austria, Estonia, Poland, China, Russia and India.

She has a number of publications in collections and brochures devoted to the role and place of women in the socio-political world, gender budgeting and gender policy in Kazakhstan.

She is a national trainer in social policy for families and children. In 2005 she became one of the 1000 women of the world, nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize; one of the heroines of the book “1000 women who are changing the world”, published by the organizing committee of the Nobel International Action.

Since March 24, 2016 to January 2021 - deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the VI convocation, elected on the party list of the “Nur Otan” party, member of the Committee on Ecology and Nature Management;

From January 15, 2021, deputy - Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the VII convocation, elected on the party list of the “AMANAT” party, member of the Committee on Legislation and Judicial and Legal Reform.

She was awarded with the medal “Eren enbegi ushin” (2016), jubilee medals “Astananyn “10 zhyldygy” (2008), “Kazakhstan Respublikasynyn tauelsizdigine 25 zhyl” (2016).

She is married and has a daughter.
