Biography
ASHIMZHANOV Zhanarbek Sadykanovich
Member of the Committee for social and culturall development of Mazhilis of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Born on April 1, 1976 in the village of Zhalanash, Raiymbek district, Almaty region.
In 1993, he graduated from Zhalanash Kazakh secondary school.
In 1995-1999, he studied at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University at the Faculty of Journalism.
The first works were published in the district and regional publishing houses, such as "Khantaniri" (formerly "Communism nury") and "Zhetisu".
1996-1999-correspondent of the newspaper "Almaty akshamy".
In 2000, he briefly worked as a department editor in the magazine "Kazakhstan".
2000-2005-editor of the Department of Literature and Spirituality, politics of the Republican newspaper "Zhas Alash".
2005-2008-Deputy Editor-in-chief of the national weekly "Zhas Kazak".
2008-Acting Director of the center "Kalamger-Media", which unites the magazines "Zhuldyz", "Prostor", "Son" and the newspaper "Kazakh Adebieti" under the leadership of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan.
2012-Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan.
2016-full member of the Academy of Journalists of Kazakhstan.
2017-Editor-in-chief of the republican newspaper "Kazakh Adebieti".
2018-Editor-in-chief of the Republican newspaper "Ana tili".
He chaired the Republican Council of Young Writers under the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan on a voluntary basis.
