KOSHANOV Yerlan Zhakanovich
Chairman of Mazhilis of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Yerlan Zh. Koshanov was born in 1962, in the Karagandy region. In 1984 - graduated from Karagandy Polytechnic Institute. In 1999 graduated from the Kazakh State Academy of Management.
After graduation from the Institute, he worked as a locksmith, foreman of an enrichment factory of Zhezkazgan Mining and Smelting Combine.
1988-1990 – Instructor of the Department of working and rural youth, head of the Department of socio-economic problems of youth of the Zhezkazgan Regional Committee of the Komsomol of Kazakhstan;
1990-1995 – Chief specialist, Head of the Department, deputy chairman, chairman of the Zhezkazgan Regional Committee of Foreign Economic Relations;
1995-1999 – Member of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
1999-2001 – Government Representative to the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
2001-2003 – Deputy Head of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Government Representative to the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
2003-2006 – Vice Minister of Transport and Communication of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
2006-2007 – Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport and Communication of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
2007-2012 – Deputy Head of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Government Representative to the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
2012-2017 – Head of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
2017-2019 – Akim of Karagandy region;
2019-2022 – Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
On February 1, 2022, he was elected as the Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan
