Astana, February 7, House of Mazhilis. Today French agricultural scientist Guy Riba visited the Mazhilis. Vladimir Bozhko, Deputy Chairman of the Mazhilis, welcomed the Vice President of the French Agricultural research Institute (INRA).

                Having noted the significance of the 25^th anniversary of establishing diplomatic ties and the tenth anniversary of the strategic partnership agreement between the two countries, the parties pointed out the constructive nature of relationships between Kazakhstan and France.

                Within this, special attention was paid to agricultural sector, in particular, to the sectoral science development. In this regard, such issues as efficiency of agriculture, ways of its modernization, integrated scientific programs, development of material and technical basis, competition, digitalization, technological transfer, financing of agrarian science were covered during the conversation.

                During the discussion of these and other issues, parliamentarians expressed their interest in European experience, in introduction of achievements of French agrarians in Kazakhstan and by virtue of this they expressed their readiness to provide legislative support for changes in Kazakhstan's agriculture.

                The meeting was attended by Saparkhan Omarov, Chairman of the Mazhilis Committee on Agrarian Issues, Sergey Zvolskiy, member of this Committee, and Akhylbek Kurishbayev, Chairman of the Board of “S.Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University” JSC.
